Corticon Business Rules Management System for Documentum Receives "Designed for EMC Documentum" Accreditation
Corticon Accelerates the Agility, Reliability and Sophistication of the Decisions within EMC Driven Business Processes
Redwood City, CA - February 13, 2007 - Corticon Technologies today announced that its leading model-driven Business Rules Management Systems (BRMS) for Documentum software has received the "Designed for EMC Documentum" accreditation, a mark of quality and value that customers expect from enterprise applications. The accreditation demonstrates that the software has successfully met a comprehensive set of criteria for good design, development and integration.
Corticon's Business Rules Management System for Documentum, automates complex decisions within business processes which are designed and orchestrated using the EMC Documentum Process Suite, EMC's business process management (BPM) offering. It reduces the time and cost of implementing decision logic within business processes, while also driving increased process agility, by changing the decisions that are executed within the process as required.
With this integration, organizations can define decision logic during the initial business-level design of the process by directly accessing Corticon from within the Documentum Business Process Analyzer. Corticon then automatically generates web-services based executable business rules called "Decision Services," so that they can be immediately accessed and executed by the Documentum Process Engine, living up to the highest goals of a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
"By providing a model-driven Business Rules Management System as an integrated offering for the EMC Documentum platform, Corticon is offering customers an innovative option for automating all types of decisions within EMC-driven business processes," said Rob Tarkoff, Senior Vice President of Global Alliances, EMC. "The "Designed for EMC Documentum" status demonstrates Corticon's commitment to the Documentum platform and the quality of their product"
Corticon received design accreditation by meeting high standards for application design, development, configuration, installation processes and overall quality. Corticon will also be able to use the specialized "Designed for EMC Documentum" logos, signifying to customers that the Corticon Business Rules Management System for Documentum meets high standards for architectural compliance with the Documentum architecture and leverages development best practices.
"Corticon is extremely pleased to join the EMC Documentum Application Developer Program and we are proud to have attained the 'Designed for EMC Documentum' status for the Corticon BRMS," said David Straus, SVP Marketing, Corticon. "We expect our joint customers to realize significant benefits because of this accredited integration, including significant reduction in the time it takes to model and implement decision logic within business processes and reuse of critical business rules across their business process and software projects. We are pleased to be teaming with EMC and look forward to sharing the successes our joint customers will achieve."
